Celebrating Excellence

Once a year, the Highland tourism community comes together to celebrate achievement and recognise excellence at the HITA Awards. It’s more than just a great night out—it’s a chance to pause, reflect, and take pride in the people and businesses that make Highland tourism so exceptional.

Organised by the industry, for the industry, the HITA Awards are driven by the dedication of our volunteer board of directors—respected leaders from across the Highlands and Islands. Their passion and commitment have helped shape HITA into the prestigious event it is today.

Entries for the 2025 Awards are now closed. Judging is currently underway, with the shortlist set to be announced in July.  Shortlisted companies gain a prestigious accolade, which can be used for considerable marketing, media and commercial advantage. What’s more, wining a coveted HITA award means you will be short listed automatically to VisitScotland’s national Thistle Awards. 

Winners in each category will be revealed at our gala dinner and awards ceremony, taking place at the Drumossie Hotel, Inverness on Friday 3rd October.
